Ministers, lead by example

I REFER to “Civil servants told to carry out directives or face the music” (The Star, Feb 10). This statement has cast a dark cloud on the integrity, commitment and loyalty of civil servants towards the government of the day.

It conjures up the negative image that the civil servants are deliberately acting as both saboteurs to derail new policies and Luddites who refuse to collaborate and implement the change to transform our nation under the leadership of the new government.
