Improve security features in all schools

I REFER to the report “School prefect beaten up by seniors caught smoking” (The Star, Oct 16) and would like to highlight once again the need to improve security in schools nationwide.

Security should be tightened to ensure that crime and bullying do not occur in the school premises. The absence of security guards in the school premises makes the situation worse.
