Ode to cultural dances

AT the Future of the Bumiputra and Nation Congress on Sept 1, 39 resolutions were adopted under four pillars promoting ethics and moral values, wealth creation, entrepreneurship, and education and human resources. Noticeably missing was the arts, culture and heritage, a key component of national identity and one that promotes national unity.

Problems faced by the country today stem from distrust, polarisation and, frankly, the loss of our “soul” to capitalism and, to a certain extent, the Internet of Things. Culture can bring us back from that place where we care only for materialism and capital achievements.
