Widen separation of powers

I REFER to the letter “MACC should be given power to prosecute” (The Star, Sept 5).

I am of the opinion that giving the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission prosecutorial power would be a regressive step especially with the ongoing efforts to reform and strengthen the criminal justice system.
