Finance Ministry corrects error

THE Finance Ministry refers to the column “Contradictheory” titled “Is public shaming really necessary?” (Sunday Star, Aug 5) by Dzof Azmi who wrote: “But because the company (Khazanah) is owned by the Finance Ministry, there must have been a better, more gradual way to hand over the reins if the ministry was not satisfied with the directors.” This is incorrect. The Finance Ministry did not make any comments on Khazanah’s performance. The Finance Ministry thanks the previous Khazanah CEO and Board of Directors for their services.
