Make sure it’s voluntary

I AM impressed and touched by the fervour of Malaysians in donating towards Tabung Harapan Malaysia. It is fine as long as it is done VOLUNTARILY. It should never make an citizen feel any less patriotic if he or she can’t or don’t contribute towards it.

Government departments and social groups should not put pressure on their employees or members by setting a target or even proposing a certain percentage cut from their salaries for this collection.
