Moderation is not about passing judgement


WITH reference to the report “Promoting unity with kebaya” (The Star, Sept 20), I fail to see the connection between being moderate and promoting the kebaya while wearing the jubah is seen as adopting Arabic culture.

Most of us don Western outfits in our day-to-day life without any hesitation because it’s practical and also trendy for those who are fashion conscious. Many of us reserve our traditional outfits for specific occasions but that has not changed our core values at all.
