Work together for peace and prosperity

THE squabble between Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak and former premier Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad is causing uneasiness among Malaysians and foreigners as well. As an 80-year-old senior citizen, I would like to call upon them to bury the hatchet and work towards developing the country.

I had the opportunity to know both men and worked closely with Dr Mahathir and the Government for the betterment of our 1.6 million civil servants through the Congress of Employees in the Public and Civil Service (Cuepacs) for over 30 years until my retirement as its president in 1989.
