Better system for VEP tagging

WE understand that the Malaysian authority will be implementing the Vehicle Entry Permit (VEP) fee for foreign vehicles at the Causeway soon. It has already started registering foreign vehicles, including Singapore vehicles, for the RFID tag to identify them for the fee payment.

This method is laborious and fraught with difficulties as new untagged foreign cars, including those from Thailand, will end up jamming the Customs, Immigration and Quarantine (CIQ) complex at Johor Baru. As it is, jams are occurring on a regular basis here even without this additional process.
