Minding the language

IT is well-known that Malaysians who are still fond of speaking in English daily were once pupils of teachers who themselves spoke and wrote flawless English. Both teachers and pupils had no inhibitions towards speaking English regularly.

Communicating in English was a natural process to them, while being quite at home with both the national language and their mother tongue.
