Problem getting guards

ENGAGING the services of security guards in places such as banks, public buildings, private office complexes, clubhouses, and retail stores is common now. The guards are mostly from Nepal.

In recent years, security-conscious residents in housing estates have also organised themselves to employ full-time security guards to police the entrance/exit points as well as conduct patrol work in their areas. They feel the presence of the guards 24/7 can prevent crime, maintain security as well as protect life and property.
