Honouring Asean teachers

THE move by the leaders of the 10 Asean member countries towards developing a community of the future is timely and commendable. In the short and long-term, it could be pursued via education and training.

For a start, the target group should be teachers, both public and private, of the ten member countries. They should be provided opportunities to meet regularly.
