Let’s respect our major dates

ON Sept 16, a fine Wednesday for Malaysians, Yayasan Usman Awang (YUA) was involved in two events specifically organised to coincide with the anniversary of the birth of Malaysia.

In the morning, a ceremony was held to mark the closing of the “Kembara Kemerdekaan Harimau GBBM” at Bukit Jalil Golf and Country Resort. Later that day, the launch of Gemersik Tiga, the first publication by YUA in collaboration with the Malaysian Institute for Translation and Books (ITBM), was held at Kinokuniya, KLCC.
