Find a workable solution to implement AES soon

I REFER to Transport Minister Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai’s statement that an indepth study of the Automated Enforcement System (AES) is being conducted to enhance its effectiveness. (The Star, Sept 1).

The RM700mil AES project was implemented on Sept 22, 2012 to nab speeding motorists in order to reduce road accidents and loss of lives. Three months later, however, the Attorney-General’s Chambers (AG) ordered a halt to all court proceedings related to unpaid summonses issued under the AES to allow it to study legal issues raised after a public outcry.
