Compulsory recycling will protect our environment

I AM delighted to see the implementation of compulsory recycling as reported in “Recyclables must be set apart from organic items from September” (The Star, April 20).

In the long run, the move will help protect our environment by reducing unnecessary harvesting of natural resources.
