I REFER to the article “Made to pay” (The Star, Jan 24). Those who read the article will be upset and confuse on the vast disparities in the costs of engaging an Indonesian maid between Malaysia and Singapore.
The claim by Malaysian Association of Foreign Maid Agencies (Papa) that we were losing out to Taiwan and Singapore as they were offering better pay does not hold water.
