Gold medals must be our aim

I REFER to “Imran: success should be based on overall medals won” (The Star, Oct 17).

I reckon Olympic Council Malaysia (OCM) president Tunku Tan Sri Imran Tuanku Ja’afar must have been kidding when he suggested Malaysia be assessed on the overall medals tally in future multi-sport games. Truly, I was stunned to hear this.
