Restore goodwill and harmony

THE letter “A school with rich culture and ethos” (The Star, August 27) by Dr Sharifah Hapsah Shahabudin made my heart sore. I am also an alumnus of MGSKL, and I know exactly what she is talking about.

We were taught good values by teachers who modelled those values to us by the way they lived their lives. We learned to celebrate our differences during festivals. Unity in diversity was a way of life practised by our leaders, not just an empty slogan.
