Avoid flying over conflict war-zone countries

I READ with interest the Washington Post Online report on July 20, that the US Federal Aviatian Authority (FAA) has sent out warnings, after the shooting down of MH17, to all US airlines to avoid more conflict war-zones countries, now that they know that Russian built surface-to-air missiles can reach altitudes of over 33,000 feet.

The countries that the FAA deem “Flight prohibition” include, Ukraine, the Black Sea, Libya, Iraq, Northern Ethiopia, Somalia, and North Korea.
