The Tunku’s legacy


Feb 8 would have been our Bapa Malaysia’s 110th birthday. Tunku Abdul Rahman was a prince among ordinary men and women, who was also a renowned statesman respected globally.

His wealth was the love he gave his people and the love reciprocated by his people to him. Not many countries can boast of attaining independence peacefully, but the Tunku’s astuteness and skilful public relations enabled our country to have a peaceful transition from colonial rule.
