THIS is a long overdue measure to arrest the generally weaker and poorer command of Bahasa Malaysia among national-type school students compared to their counterparts from the national schools.
Far too many batches of national-type school “graduates” over far too many years have discovered, to their surprise and dismay on entering secondary schools, that their BM standard is far below that of their classmates coming from the national schools.
