I REFER to “Hui Yee gets a new heart” (The Star, Oct 5). That piece of news brought much delight to the nation and the many who have been praying for a donor’s heart to come by speedily as she was on a mechanical heart assist device for more than a year already.

The decisive manner, the unbelievable speed, the sense of urgency and the coordination of the parties involved in harvesting and transporting the “long awaited, precious, elusive and evasive life-saving heart” from Ipoh to Kuala Lumpur were highly commendable.
