Is canopy walkway really safe?

I REFER to the report “Canopy Walk declared safe” (The Star, July 17). I understand that the canopy walkway would be re-opened after being closed to the public for two years.

My visit to the area over the weekend made me question if the walkway is really safe. After a two-year closure, there must be improvements done but, sadly, none of this was seen. Huge tree trunks had fallen around it, possibly caused by strong winds or lightning. There were even trees that had fallen on a power line, which could cause power cuts at any time.
