THE Malaysian Nature Society (MNS) would like to congratulate the Perak Government for gazetting Royal Belum as a State Park on May 3. This has been long awaited by Malaysians and various environmental NGOs and has added another feather to the cap for Malaysia’s protected area system.
Royal Belum is part of the Belum-Temengor forest complex (BT Complex), a vast contiguous tract of forests (encompassing the Belum and Temengor forest reserves) known for its rich biological diversity and important environmental services.
