AS with many countries the world over, Thailand launched an anti-smoking campaign as part of “World No Tobacco Day” on May 31. 

Public Health Minister Suchai Charoenratanakul said that more than 200,000 young Thais had become smokers over the last two years, and the government wanted to slash that number by half.
