Stiffer penalties will be a deterrent

MALAYSIA is now famous for something we are certainly not proud of – snatch theft. 

Many foreign governments, including the United States and Britain, have issued travel advisories to their citizens travelling to Malaysia, warning them of the high incidences of snatch thefts which apparently also affect foreigners and tourists.
