THE death of Chin Wai Fun as a result of an attack by a snatch thief is only the latest in a series of similar deaths over the past few years, “Repeat snatch theft victim dies”, (The Star, May 24).

What goes unreported are the thousands of women injured and traumatised by such attacks every year. This particular kind of crime has reached epidemic proportions.
