THE national service is a very important programme that will help our youths to rediscover themselves and to instil good moral values, racial tolerance and love for our nation.  

Unfortunately, the news that we read is extremely disturbing – from the inefficient ways some of the centres are being run and the lackadaisical attitude of some trainers to the number of casualties among the trainees.
