EXACTLY a year after the start of the war in Iraq, cracks are already appearing in the US-led coalition. Recent developments have seen a shift in support of the US war in Iraq, leading officials to call on countries not to cave in to terrorist threats. 

The Bush administration had expected a quick and easy victory – driving Saddam Hussein from power, liberating Iraq and bringing democratic freedom to the Middle East.
