WITH regards to the article by the President of Malaysian Medical Association in The Star on Feb 3, it is my duty as the President of the Malaysian Society For Complementary Therapies to enlighten and inform the public of the misconception regarding general practitioners recommending health supplements to their patients. 

The MMA president had said: “Doctors are not allowed to sell products which are not registered with the Health Ministry as drugs.”
