College fee-cut order comes under attack

HOW much should a student of business management in a prestigious institute pay in annual fees: Rs30,000 or Rs1.5 lakhs (RM2,519 or RM12,594)?  

The question has divided the entire academic community in the country after Human Resource Development Minister Murli Manohar Joshi unilaterally reduced the fees in the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) from the annual Rs1.5 lakhs to mere Rs30,000.
