A public consciousness on the issue of child sexual abuse is critical in our effort to protect our children from such crimes, writes SHANTINI SUNTHARAJAH.

WHILE on his way home from school one day, Kamal (not his real name) decided to stop by at a friend’s house. There, he met a 20-year-old man who had befriended his friend.
