Seniors eager to explore IT world

A new strategy by the Japanese Government to build an information technology society calls for providing high-speed internet connections to 10 million households by 2005. It is also targeting the senior population, where only 16.2% are computer literate, writes SUVENDRINI KAKUCHI.  

AT the rate its membership is growing, the Grannies Computer Association has had to restrict the entry of new applicants, all of whom are eager to enter the world of the Internet.
