YOUR report, “Don’t avoid rural posting, teachers told” (The Star June 21), quoted Education director-general Datuk Abdul Rafie Mahat as saying teachers should rise to the challenge to teach in rural schools instead of making excuses to avoid such postings.
He said it was a waste for teachers not to serve in rural schools, as they would gain invaluable experience.
