THE recent temporary suspension of the manufacturing licence of Pan Pharmaceuticals by Australia's Therapeutic Goods Administration and the recall of all its products from the market have led to many comments and responses; some in favour of herbs and health supplements and others warning the public on their dangers.

I would like to commend readers like I.K. Yeo (The Star, May 12, 2003) and the Malaysian Dietary Supplements Association for coming out in support of health and herbal supplements.
