Protest against war, but don't take sides

I APPLAUD Malaysians for taking a stance for peace. It is true that war seldom creates anything positive, but is usually the last resort of nations where communication, co-operation and the desire for peace is overcome by ego or economics.

I must caution my fellow Malaysians, however, to be objective in their views of the two parties. Neither are saints and neither have the best intentions of humanity in mind when they went to war – first with words and then with their military might.
