I REFER to your report, “Non-Malays avoid teaching” (The Star, March 4).
During the furore over the teaching of Science and Mathematics in English, Education Minister Tan Sri Musa Mohamad announced the creation of 500 scholarships for SPM holders with excellent results to be trained in prestigious universities overseas in these two subjects to acquire an elite group of Science and Mathematics teachers soon.
