‘Proposal over maids unfair’

THE Immigration Department came under fire for its proposed move to disallow non-Muslims from employing Muslim housemaids as some had been asked to do work against their religion, Nanyang Siang Pau reported yesterday. 

Malaysian Association of Foreign Workers Agencies vice-president Jeffrey Foo said it was grossly unfair for the majority of the non-Muslims to be denied the service just because of the misdeeds of a few black sheep.
