I HEARTILY agree with Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Mahathir Mohamad that developers who clear land illegally should be jailed (The Star, Feb 5) but I also suggest that they be made to restore the area and to make good all the damage they caused by replanting trees.
As Dr Mahathir said, what is a paltry fine to these people when they can make millions by this illegal practice.
