A PROMINENT scholar has assured Malaysian Chinese that the Government's policy to have Science and Mathematics taught in English in primary schools will not compromise their children’s chances of having education in their mother tongue as long as Chinese is used by Chinese families.
In an interview with Sin Chew Daily, the deputy director of the Academic Science of Malaysia, Datuk Lee Yee Cheong, said the misgivings of the Chinese about the policy were largely unfounded.
