THE Social Security Organisation (Socso) plans to amend its Act to provide more benefits to its members. Under the proposals, the beneficiaries will be the widows and widowers. The proposed amendment will also encourage the disabled members to be productive again.

It is proposed that the widows and widowers of deceased workers should continue to enjoy the allowance paid to them for losing their spouses even if they should remarry.
