SO THERE we were, 700m above sea level and absorbing one of the most spectacular sights in Malaysia, when a familiar unpleasant odour wafted under my nostrils. I turned around and there he was, oblivious to the “No Smoking” sign he surely could not have missed a couple of minutes earlier and puffing away nonchalantly.
