THE fact that FIFA, and not our own authorities, have been answering every one of our questions should trouble every Malaysian who cares about the integrity of sport and the credibility of our institutions.
It is a stark, uncomfortable symbol of how far trust has fallen. When the global governing body of football are more transparent and responsive than the authorities tasked with protecting our systems, something obviously has come undone at a foundational level.
