On the cusp of a battle royal

THE campaigning for GE14 has reached fever pitch. A week from today, we will vote to decide which coalition will govern the country over the next five years.

Unlike the range of issues and prevailing moods leading up to past general elections, this time it is different. It revolves around two personalities – the caretaker Prime Minister and his former mentor who had held the PM post for 22 years before stepping down in 2003.
