IN football, outfield players get most of the glory. A defender is lauded for a goal-saving tackle, a midfielder for controlling the game or creating chances, and a striker collects all theaccolades for scoring.

Goalkeepers are put under the microscope for every mistake or when they are involved in a penalty shootout, but never get the recognition they deserve if a team have a routine 2-0 win.​
