SARAJEVO, Sept. 12 (Xinhua) -- An armed robbery occurred at a branch of UniCredit Bank in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) on Saturday afternoon, with two suspects fleeing with an undisclosed amount of cash, local media reported.
At around 3:40 p.m. (1340 GMT), the Mostar police station received a report that two masked individuals had intercepted two security guards who were carrying out a cash transfer at the bank branch on Dubrovacka Street in Mostar, according to Ilijana Milos, a spokesperson for the Interior Ministry of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton.
The suspects, who threatened the guards with firearms, stole an undisclosed amount of cash before fleeing the scene.
Police have taken necessary actions to establish the circumstances of the incident and try to identify and apprehend the suspects, Milos said.
