NEW YORK, Aug. 27 (Xinhua) -- Oil prices rose on Thursday.
The West Texas Intermediate for October delivery added 1.30 dollars, or 1.58 percent, to settle at 83.53 U.S. dollars a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Brent crude for October delivery gained 1.86 dollars, or 2.12 percent, to settle at 89.70 dollars a barrel on the London ICE Futures Exchange.
