Crude futures settle lower


NEW YORK, July 27 (Xinhua) -- Oil prices fell on Monday.

The West Texas Intermediate for September delivery lost 6.70 U.S. dollars, or 7.5 percent, to settle at 82.61 dollars a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Brent crude for September delivery lost 8.42 dollars, or 8.7 percent, to settle at 88.36 dollars a barrel on the London ICE Futures Exchange.
