NEW YORK, July 22 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar fell in late trading on Wednesday.
The dollar index, which measures the greenback against six major peers, dropped to 0.05 percent to 101.125 at 3 p.m. (1900 GMT).
In late New York trading, the euro rose to 1.1411 U.S. dollars from 1.1403 dollars in the previous session, and the British pound decreased to 1.3373 dollars from 1.3381 dollars in the previous session.
The U.S. dollar bought 163.13 Japanese yen, lower than 163.18 Japanese yen of the previous session. The U.S. dollar rose to 0.8146 Swiss francs from 0.8129 Swiss francs, and it decreased to 1.4085 Canadian dollars from 1.4107 Canadian dollars. The U.S. dollar diminished to 9.7014 Swedish kronor from 9.7035 Swedish kronor.
