MOSCOW, July 8 (Xinhua) -- The share of Russians with personal savings has significantly declined, TASS news agency said Wednesday, based on acquired data of the Russian Field research company.
According to the company's survey, in the period of late May to early June 2026, 38 percent of respondents reported having savings, compared to 57 percent in September 2025. At the same time, the share of Russians without savings rose from 42 percent to 60 percent. About 1,600 respondents took part in the survey.
The data highlighted that for half of the Russians with savings, their financial cushion will last less than three and a half months.
